The visibly excited former students testified how the skills acquired from the institution have helped them generate income leading to the transformation of their lives.

SPLM groups sign reconciliation agreement

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has this morning launched the Kkubiri Furniture Makers Development initiative,workshop.The furniture makers group has been supported by the President through his office, equipping their workshop with modern furniture making equipment. The KKubiri Furniture Makers Development Initiative has a membership of over 1000 people organised in 50 groups.

President commends Kitabi Seminary for producing honest workers

President Yoweri Museveni has commended Bushenyi-based Kitabi Seminary for providing him people who he described as honest in their service. The President made the remarks at Hotel Africana in Kampala where, as chief guest, he launched the Kitabi Seminary Old Boys’ Association Cooperative Saving and Credit Society Ltd (KISOBA SACCO) and also led members of the association in raising funds for Kitabi Seminary sanitary project.

President commissions UPDF Special Forces Command hospital

President Yoweri Museveni has called on soldiers to embark on the making of bricks as part of the measures to reduce costs of erecting buildings in barracks. The President made the call at Nsamizi Special Forces Command (SFC) barracks in Entebbe Municipality where he commissioned the new Dr. Ronald Bata Hospital. The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Construction Brigade erected the Shs. 293 million structure.

President launches national campaign against ticks'

President Yoweri Museveni has attributed the rampant loss of livestock in the country to the failure by veterinary officials to sensitize farmers on proper drug use against ticks. He also said that lack of zoning regions for easy management, farmers’ laziness and government laxity over control of animals’ drugs distribution channels to the farmers and violations of livestock rights are the other causes of the loss of livestock.
