PRESIDENT CLARIFIES ON THE CONFUSION SURROUNDING THE YOUTH PROGRAMMES

Monday 5th November 2018

Fellow Countrymen and Countrywomen, especially the NRM Leaders

I am writing to clarify the confusion surrounding the Youth Programmes that I started putting in place in the Kampala area and also in the Rukungiri area and some other places.

President Museveni on why Enemies of Uganda who are threatening investors will fail.

Saturday 27th October 2018

Countrymen, Countrywomen, Bazukulu, investors and business people.

Recently, the traitors of Africa and the criminals have become very worried about the fast pace of development of Uganda.

Having had to struggle against the primitive fascists, the likes of Kony and ADF, not to forget the cattle rustlers from whom we captured 40,000 rifles, we also had to rely on our own resources to build the base of the economy (...

President responds social-media comments

Wednesday 22nd August 2018

I have read your comments in response to my earlier statement. I thank all of you for giving your views. This is a good and productive way of communicating; no need for violence and “fujo”.

Violence, threats and intimidation in elections will not be tolerated - Museveni

Monday 20th August 2018
Fellow Ugandans, thank you for your responses following my most recent post on events that followed the by-election in Arua Municipality.

The problem in Arua was caused by Bobi Wine's group together with Kassiano Wadri, who attacked me, a useless action because I am protected and I can defend myself.

The more serious issue is these chronically indisciplined people...

We shall not allow violence in elections - Museveni

Sunday 19th August 2018

Countrymen, Countrywomen and especially, the Bazukulu.

Greetings. Some days have gone by while what President Trump calls "fake news" generators, especially the Monitor and their TV, the NTV, have been putting it out that our grandson, the indisciplined Bobi Wine, is gravelly ill, he cannot talk etc.

They were putting it out that because of their "rough" handling of the MPs while arresting them, the Security forces...

President Museveni on the just concluded Arua Municipality elections

Thursday 16th August 2018

Countrymen, Countrywomen, especially the Bazukulu (grand-children). Greetings. The elections in Arua Municipality were held peacefully because the organisers of violence and criminality had been arrested.

The independent, the Hon. Kassiano Wadri, was declared the winner and the Hon. Nusura Tiperu of the NRM was number two.

This is a step-forward, to have elections without violence, without threats. Nobody has got a...

PRESIDENT'S STATEMENT ON MONDAY INCIDENTS IN ARUA

Wednesday 15th August 2018
Countrymen, Countrywomen and, especially, Bazukulu (grandchildren)

I always insist on singling out the grandchildren because I want them to be conversant with our rich experiences spanning a period of 58 years.

I understand that some of our people were worried about the endless criminal acts of elements of the Opposition, including the incidents of Arua on Monday.

Lies may set out early but truth will get to the destination first

Wednesday 1st August 2018

By Don Wanyama

On Monday, June 4th, I was hosted as a guest on a morning TV political show alongside the Buhweju County MP, Francis Mwijukye. The show was happening just three days after the FDC flagbearer, Betty Muzanira, had narrowly won the Rukungiri Woman MP by-election.
