President Yoweri Museveni has left for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where he will be joining other African heads of State and Government, led by the current African Union (AU) Chairperson, Muammar Gadhaffi of Libya for the 14th Ordinary session of the Assembly of the African Union. The African leaders’ meeting will be held under the theme “Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Africa: Challenges and Prospects for Development.
The President’s entourage is expected to include Minister for ICT, that of Foreign Affairs, and of Trade and Industry. President was seen off at Entebbe International Airport this afternoon by the Deputy Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Lt. General Ivan Koreta, the Inspector General of Police, Major General Kale Kayihura and the Commissioner General of Prisons Dr. Johnson Byabashaija.
