President receives Italian Ambassador

President Yoweri Museveni has today received and held a meeting with the Italian Ambassador to Uganda, Mr. Stefano A. Dejak who called on him at his country home in Rwakitura Nyabushozi County in Kiruhuura district. The President and the Italian envoy discussed a number of issues of mutual interest between their two countries. They particularly discussed ways of promoting trade and investments between Uganda and Italy. The President told the envoy that Uganda has a big agricultural potential that requires big investment in agro-processing such as fruit processing and leather tanning industry and other produce for export. The Italian envoy informed the President that several Italian companies are keen to invest in Uganda and bring in large-scale capital and modern technology in the country and take advantage of the prevailing good investment environment existing in the country.
