More FDC & DP supporters cross to NRM

Saturday 7th July 2012

President Yoweri Museveni has received into the NRM Party 2 Democratic Party supporters and 1 FDC official that have crossed to NRM.

Mr. Bukenya Mugumya, who has been the Chairman of Greater Masaka Sub-Region and also DP NEC member and Mr. Moses Makumbi, who stood against the current Mayor of Lubaga, along with Mr. Muyunga who has been FDC Chairman in Rakai district and the Party NEC member, declared that their decision to cross to NRM has been influenced by the accommodative policy championed by Mr. Museveni and the NRM’s development agenda.

President Museveni welcomed them into NRM last Thursday at State House, Entebbe. He noted that they had taken the right decision. He said that they are recognized as full members of NRM with full rights adding that they were welcome in building the Party and the nation at large rather than engaging in destructive politics of “Walk-to-Work”.
