State House Uganda - News President Yoweri Museveni has this morning opened the newly constructed Katebwa Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bunyangabu county, Kabarole district. The Church was used as a sick bay for treating injured freedom fighters between July and September,1985. Dr. Ronald Bata (rip) treated fighters who were injured at the battlefield. The hills around also served as bases for various companies(fighters). One of the them, at the left hand-side of the church, was called the "fridge". A round red-tiled house near the church is a monument in memory of 10 combatants who were re-buried near the church. Take a close look at the pic in which President Museveni is received by Government officials, you'll see a small path on the hill in the background used to move injured freedom fighters downhill and then uphill to the church for treatment.
