President Yoweri Museveni has received and held a meeting the visiting World Scout Bureau Africa Director, Mr. Frederic Tutu Kamakama, who is visiting Uganda to assess the arrangements being laid out to enable the country host the forthcoming World’s Scouting Day due later next year. Uganda is slated to host the event next year combining the Africa Scout Day, the 16th’ Africa Scout Conference and the 7th Africa Scout Youth Forum from August 24th to September 2nd 2015. Over 15,000 are expected to camp at Kaazi National Scouts Site on the shores of Lake Victoria for the occasion.
President Museveni advised the Uganda Scouts’ Association officials to improve on the site to be able to cater for the all the participants who are coming for the programme.
The regional Director Tutu Kamakama thanked President Museveni for his support to Uganda Scouts’ Association and the hospitality accorded to him. He said that his visit also aims at mobilizing the African continent to further support the Scouts Association.
