President YoweriMuseveni received and held talks with a high-level business investment South African group that were led by Ambassador Lindiwe Zulu who is International Relations Advisor to South Africa President Jacob Zuma.
During the meeting that took place at State House, Nakasero, the President and the South African entrepreneurs discussed issues related to investment opportunities in Uganda, particularly infrastructure development, energy and storage capacity for oil and its pipeline.
The South Africans informed the President that they have identified a number of roads that they are going to work on very soon.
President Museveni commended them for their interest in getting involved in Uganda’s development programmes and emphasized that infrastructure development will go a long way in improving the entire region.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Works and Transport, Engineer James Abraham Byandaala and Vice-Chairman of NRM for Eastern Region, Flight Captain George Mike Mukula, among others.
